Export of bullfights

The number of people that attend a bullfight decreases every year. Because of this decline the bullfighting industry loses an important source of income. There are far fewer bullfights annually organized than ten years ago. To compensate these losses, the bullfighting industry tried to export bullfighting and festivals with bulls to countries where no bullfighting tradition exists, such as China, the United Arab Emirates, Algeria and Costa Rica.

Every time the bullfighting industry tried to export bullfighting CAS International launched protest actions to prevent the bullfights would be exported. Thanks to the massive participation in these protests by people from all over the world the bullfighting industry has not succeeded to export bullfighting.
