International Anti-Bullfighting Network makes world premiere in QuitoTuesday, May 5th 2015
The International Anti-bullfighting network, comprising more than 100 animal right organizations from different countries, made its world premiere in Ecuador. The network is a global peace movement that seeks the eradication of the practice of bullfighting in all countries where it is still legal.

Algemesi changes feast with young bullsTuesday, April 7th 2015
The Spanish town of Algemesi (Valencia) modifies an important element of the notorious feasts with young bulls, called becerradas. The becerradas are bullfights with young bulls of less than two years old. It has now been decided not to use banderillas (decorated stick with barbs) and not to injure and kill the animals during the feast.
New anti-bullfighting municipality in VenezuelaWednesday, April 1st 2015
The mayor of the Venezuelan municipality of San Felipe has, by a degree, banned bullfighting. This brings the total number of municipalities against bullfighting in Venezuela to 6. Worldwide there are now 125 anti-bullfighting municipalities.
Amnesty International Portugal: no participation of minors in bullfightsWednesday, March 18th 2015
Amnesty International Portugal requested in a statement to the Portuguese Congress not to allow the participation of minors to bullfights. This request is made after the approval of a law draft that makes it possible for minors to still participate in bullfights.
