The end of bullfighting in the autonomous Spanish Balearic Islands is getting closer! As part of our campaign ‘Mallorca Sense Sang’ (Mallorca without Blood) the authorities of the island of Mallorca declared themselves against bullfighting.

On Wednesday October 28, the European Parliament voted in favor of the end to European subsidies that flow to the bullfighting industry. Through the European Union’s agricultural subsidies the European citizens are financially contributing to bullfighting and other cruel events with bulls.

The end of bullfighting in the autonomous Spanish Balearic Islands is getting closer! As part of our campaign ‘Mallorca Sense Sang’ (Mallorca without Blood) a proposal to end bullfighting has been registered at the parliament of the Balearic Islands.
CAS International and Piep! undercover in TordesillasWednesday, September 16th 2015
Rompesuelas, the bull that was used this year during the event Toro de la Vega in Tordesillas, Spain, died a horrible death on 15 September. CAS International was in Tordesillas together with the Dutch online news platform PiepVandaag.nl, which focuses on news related to animal welfare. Together with its founder Karen Soeters, we made undercover footage, which will be the basis of a documentary about Toro de la Vega.

The Spanish municipality of Valldemossa (Mallorca) declared itself as anti-bullfighting municipality. 17 municipalities have declared themselves against bullfighting on the Spanish Island till now. This has been achieved thanks to our campaign ‘Mallorca Sense Sang’ (Mallorca without Blood).
