On 27 December 2013, Tony Moore, cofounder of the organisation Fight Against Animal Cruelty in Europe (FAACE), passed away.

Sinds 1987 Tony Moore has made a huge contribution to the anti-bullfighting movement. Together with his wife Vicki Moore he battled against the animal abuse during patronal festivities in Spanish villages.

In June 1995 Vicki was injured by the horns of a bull during the filming of a festival with bulls. Since this accident Vicki struggled with her health, yet she continued her battle for animal rights until February 2000, when she died. After her death Tony continued with the campaigns they set up together in FAACE. Later on, Tony published, together with his second wife Mechthild Mench, a book about the life of Vicki Moore, titled Life on the Line.

Tony Moore stayed interested and involved in the anti-bullfighting movement until the end. We want to express our sympathy to Tony’s family and friends, and wish them strength coping with this loss.
