Join us in a protest in BrusselsSaturday, October 18th 2014
Next Wednesday, October 22, the European Parliament will discuss the 2015 budget. Subsidies to agriculture will be one of the topics. An important issue for us since this is one of the channels the bullfighting industry gets money from the EU. This happens through agricultural subsidies for the breeding of cattle for meat consumption.
Bas Eickhout, Dutch Parliamentarian for The Greens/European Free Alliance (Groen Links) will submit an amendment to end the subsidies to bullfighting. CAS International will go to Brussels, next Wednesday, to protest against the subsidies to bullfighting from Europe. At the same time we want to show our support to the initiative of Bas Eickhout.
Join us in Brussels in this demonstration! We expect the demonstration to take place between 14h00 and 16h00. In case you want to travel with us you can e-mail us through firstname.lastname@example.org. For example a train ticket from The Hague to Brussels will cost you just over € 40 v.v. In case of a great number of participants we are thinking of arranging a coach from The Hague to Brussels and back.
Please sign the petition to support Bas Eickhout’s proposed amendment.
